Home is not where the heart is to some people. Home can be a place that they don’t have a fond memory of. People could have been abused at their home or treated unfairly. These people always try to get away, but it’s not as easy as it looks.

 

The girl in the picture is trying to get away from her house by jumping over a fence. The fence represents a “white picket fence” because it stands for the perfect family, but the fence is clearly not white to show that the family isn’t perfect. The girl blends in with the fence to show that they are slowly losing themselves and feel like they will be forgotten. The top of the fence is lighter to show that once they do get away, they will be happier.

 

It was later in the day when I took the picture to make the picture darker, and the picture looked better straight on, instead of to the side, so the girl looks more blended in with the background. If I was to retake this picture I would have taken the picture farther away.
