Sometimes people just want to be alone. They want to get away from their problems and focus on self-care. People do this in different ways, from reading a book to waking up early or going to bed late. It’s different for everyone, but everyone has a place they go to get away.

 

My picture depicts a woman who woke up early to grab themselves a mug of coffee and watch the sun rise. The room looks open with the windows to show the woman is lost in thought and the colorful chair makes the audience look down to up, like how the sun rises.

 

The picture was originally going to be taken outside, but it was too cold and the weather outside looked more sad than happy, because of the dead trees. A gloomy atmosphere is not what I was going for, so the lighting looks happier inside, which made the picture look more happy and soothing. A perfect place to escape to.
