As humans, we eat a lot. Most people eat from the time they wake up till the time they go to bed. We eat until we feel full or we eat just because we can. The same thing happens with technology. We are on our phones all the time receiving information, like texts, and social media updates. We look at our phones to read information, but we also look at our phones because we can, even if it’s just a black screen.

 

Two girls are standing back to back in the picture to show both sides. One side is representing the food intake and the other is showing our obsession with our phones. The background is bright to make the people really stand out and the white border is to show how our mind is slowly starting to think more about the things that we do for no reason at all.

 

I wanted people in the picture because they depict that this is what humans are doing to themselves. No one is forcing them to eat when they aren’t hungry, and no one is forcing them to look at their phone. A simple picture of a phone and an apple wouldn’t have got the same message across.
